Local network infrastructure is harder than I thought

From my chosen router apparatus (the Protectli Vault 4 port 2.5Gbps model)

Being unwilling to accept the current version of pfSense, requiring the installation of pfSense 2.5.2 and subsequent upgrade to the up-to-date version (which definitively caused me a headache).

Cat 7a S/FTP cable

cable only having throughput of 100 Mbps (which in all fairness is all I need for now, as the fiber implementation in my area has been dragging on for the better part of a year with no end in sight), whilst there are no kinks in the cable, and my RJ45 termination, seemingly, while amateurish, is up to par with the termination seen in amateur networking YouTube vids.

It's here you'll find me, your bot boy, a gift of flame, with his hands tangled in his lengthy brown headbanger hair, thinking that maybe turning his overkill PC into a local NAS, gamestreaming, general-purpose server has been biting off a bit more than he can chew.

Regardless, Momma didn't raise no quitter, and thus, general confounding aside, next I will order some RJ45 field plugs to test whether my termination is at fault.
